Individual therapy

Many of us have grown accustomed to navigating the setbacks and challenges of life with the tools we have. And for much of life, we have succeeded. Some experiences, though, flood the system, and what used to work doesn’t work anymore. And while we may still expend lots of energy managing a fix, we ultimately reach an impasse.

Rather than continue forcing a solution on our own, one-on-one therapy provides a new option: to share the load with a confidential, experienced guide. Someone who isn’t surprised by the challenge we’re facing, and can join us for the waters ahead. When it’s a good fit, this relationship provides reassurance — we’re no longer dealing with this alone —and direction — we have a clearer sense of what we need and where we’re going.

In time, this relationship can bring lasting change in unexpected ways. This might look like:

  • A calmer approach to stressful everyday moments.

  • A new attitude towards our kids’ behaviors/needs.

  • A new ability to communicate with honesty and openness at home or at work.

  • An enhanced capacity to feel emotions as they come and go.

  • The recovery of the creative side of ourselves.

  • The transformation of an old resentment or wound from the past.
